What is hive-coded?

A hive-coded game is built by a creator in public, on streams, posts, and devlogs, while their audience makes real decisions that land in the shipped game. Suggestions, votes, dares, and challenges from viewers steer the build, and the finished game carries a traceable record of those calls. Watching, cheering, funding, or suggesting alone does not qualify: if the audience's decisions never land in the game, it is a creator-built game, not a hive-coded one. A game earns the label only when all three checks pass.

The Roster

Roster verified as of October 25, 2026.

The founding entries. Every game here passed all three checks, and every card shows its trace. This is a roster, not a ranking: no order of merit, and a game leaves the list if its verification ever falls through.

Kong Royale

Kong Royale

Creator: Max Blade (@_MaxBlade)

Developer: Max Blade

Platform: Browser game

A 50-player battle royale for the browser, hive-coded in about three weeks with a swarm of AI agents and launched with a live playtest for his audience on Oct 15, 2026. The founding entry on this roster: the game the term was coined around.

The trace: The build runs on the top suggestions from his livestream chat, fed to the swarm of AI agents as he plays: a viewer suggestion can become a working feature during the same stream. Mechanism corroborated by The Open Letter, Oct 18, 2026.

There is no public play link. Playtests are announced live on his streams and in The Blade Lab Discord.

Frog King Simulator

Creator: Belbizaz (@Belbizaz)

Developer: Belbizaz

A solo developer building a 3D frog game in public inside a single AI coding chat, writing none of the code himself by his own account. His Oct 16, 2026 clip drew 85K views and 761 bookmarks. The radar watched it on the Solo-Built Watch until his audience started landing in the build; it moved to this roster on Oct 25, 2026. No store page yet.

The trace: On Oct 23, 2026 a commenter named effacceleration asked for weather, heavy rain or snow. About four hours later Belbizaz posted screenshots of the build with heavy rain in it: rain streaks, wet reflective streets, puddle reflections. He confirmed in the thread that the weather is visual-only for now.

There is no public play link or store page yet. The build is documented in public, post by post, on the developer's X account.

Dani (@Danidev)Creator: Dani (@Danidev)

Developer: Dani

A multiplayer survival game that exists because a commenter, sjacek, dared Dani to make one, and he built it. The fan-challenge format that produced it runs his whole catalog.

The trace: A commenter named sjacek dared Dani to make a game. He built it, and it shipped.

Proto Division (@protodivision)Creator: Proto Division (@protodivision)

Developer: Proto Division

A chaotic 1 to 4 player co-op bar sim, built in public: Proto Division take ideas straight from their comments and turn them into real gameplay features. In Early Access since Oct 12, 2026.

The trace: A commenter named Ilovemygrandpa suggested throwing shady customers out of the bar. It shipped: players can grab a troublemaker and drop them, ragdoll and all, and the devs filmed the feature as a reply to that very comment.

The explainer we published when this page launched: what hive-coded means, and why we track it.

The Test

Hive-coded is a claim, and claims need a standard. A game makes this roster only if it passes all three checks:

Plenty of great creator games don't pass all three. They're on our Creator-Built Watch. This page is only for games that pass the test.

Building with your audience in the loop?

If your game passes the test, we want it on this roster. Submitting is always free, and every submission is judged on the same evidence as every game we find ourselves.

No audience yet? That is most builders. The Solo-Built Watch follows one-person developers building in public, the Build page collects the routes in, and Radar Love recognizes indie games that fit no game shelf here.
