Top Reviews

Forget embargo-day scores. This page farms YouTube once a day for the review videos players are actually watching for the games on the board, ranked by views, one video per channel, every one of them linked to its creator.

Updated October 27, 2026 · Data: YouTube · Every review is credited and linked to its creator's own channel, and nothing here is re-uploaded.

How Top Reviews works: YouTube is swept daily for review videos of the board's games; long-form reviews and Shorts rank on separate rails by views, one per channel per rail, every video linked to its creator's channel.

Once a day, every game on the Heat Index board is searched on YouTube as “game name plus review”. Results are filtered to titles that actually say review, and then ranked by view count, with like counts shown alongside. Each list holds at most five videos.

The reviews run on two rails. The main list is long-form only: videos of four minutes or more, where a review can actually make its case. Shorts-length takes, three minutes or less, get their own Top Shorts rail under the same game. The rails never mix, because Shorts view counts are inflated by YouTube's feed: ranked together, a 40-second clip could bury a real review without being a better one. Videos between three and four minutes land on neither rail.

Only one video per channel can make each list, so one prolific reviewer cannot fill the chart, and a video earns its place from players watching it, not from upload volume.

Every review is credited to its creator and linked to the video's own watch page on YouTube. Thumbnails come from YouTube's image servers. SpawnWatch does not embed, download, or re-upload review videos, so the views and revenue stay with the people who made them.
